TofuXpress GIVEAWAY!

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

After yesterday's post I figured it was time to let you all know that this month is my blogiversary! I cannot believe I have been blogging for a year now! It has been very rewarding and very exciting, especially when one starts building a community.

The next 3 days are going to be featuring 3 different giveaways to celebrate my new year of blogging. Today, the folks at TofuXpress have decided to give away one of their tofu presses to one my readers! How exciting! This gadget is the best for pressing foods other than JUST tofu, but is perfect for pressing salads, spinach, or anything that may create excess liquids.

From An Opera Singer in the Kitchen
It comes in 4 parts. It has the base, where the food item is placed, the press plus the handle and then it comes with a cover if you happen to want to marinate the tofu. It is very durable and is easy to wash.

If you want one of these babies, please do the following:

1. Tell me how you would use the press! (Leave a comment)

2. Sign up on Google Reader or Subscribe to Opera Singer in the Kitchen. (Leave a comment)

I would use the press for lots and lots and lots of tofu...and I mean lots. I eat a lot of tofu.

And maybe do a little jig around the kitchen while the contraption presses the water out of the tofu. So neat!

I'd use the press for tofu! I don't press much else other than spinach when wet.

Kassi 6:06 PM

I would love to have a tofu xpress because I think I'd be much more likely to use tofu in recipes! I don't buy it because I hate wasting all the paper towels to press it and I don't really like tofu straight from the container.

Conor @ Hold the Beef 12:02 PM

Well, my first use for it would be to brag about having one to my friends, most of whom I'm sure have never heard of it but will think I'm pretty awesome for having one once they learn of its existence! :D
After the bragging is done, I'd use it to enjoy my tofu so much more than I already do. I am also really keen however to use it with spinach, as I always end up wasting too much spinach when trying to squeeze out the water.

I would use it pretty much every day - tofu is my favorite protein, and while I've become a master of pressing with books/paper towels/hands it would save me so much time (and paper towels).

Also, I've been subscribed on Google Reader for a while now.
